Dr. La is a dedicated low vision specialist who has been providing care since 2022. He initially served the low vision community across Central Florida before relocating to Texas. Dr. La is passionate about continuing to deliver rehabilitative care, raising awareness of available resources, and empowering patients with visual impairments to maintain their independence.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago and completed his Doctor of Optometry at Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Optometry. During graduate school, Dr. La focused on working with underserved communities and promoting preventative eye care to improve overall health outcomes. His clinical interests led him to recognize the critical need for expanded availability and treatment options for patients with low vision. To better serve this population, he completed a residency in low vision rehabilitation and ocular disease at the University of the Incarnate Word, Rosenberg School of Optometry.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. La enjoys discovering new restaurants, playing basketball and tennis, and spending quality time with his wife, family, and friends. He is excited to be part of the Texas community and looks forward to learning more about the area and connecting with local patients.
